Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 28, 2026

Whether you're collecting party photos, building a community directory, or gathering guest reviews, the people who use HelloAbout trust you with their content and information. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Who We Are

HelloAbout ("HelloAbout," "we," "us," or "our") is a multi-purpose hub platform operated by BillCore, LLC, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. This policy applies to helloabout.com and the services we provide through it, including event hubs, directory hubs, and guestbook hubs.

3. How We Use Your Information

4. Directory Hubs and Member Information

Directory hubs are designed to store and display member information — such as names, photos, and contact details — to other members of that directory. If you create a directory hub, you are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from the people whose information you add or invite, for using their information only for the directory's intended purpose, and for honoring requests from members to update or remove their information. Directory hubs include privacy controls that let you limit what is visible and to whom.

5. Your Hub Privacy Controls

You control who can view and contribute to each hub you create, with privacy settings available on every hub. As the hub owner, you can remove content and manage contributors and members. Guests and contributors can share photos and messages to event and guestbook hubs without creating an account.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

7. Data Retention

We keep your hub content for as long as your hub is active. During a free trial, your hub stays active for collecting content. With a paid plan, your hub remains online — and with the lifetime plan, permanently — so you can revisit it. You may download your content or request deletion at any time.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, download, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. You can also manage much of your content and account directly from your dashboard.

9. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and secure cloud storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information and continually improve our protections.

10. Children's Privacy

HelloAbout accounts must be created and managed by an adult. Some hubs — such as birthday parties, sports team directories, or school events — may involve photos or information about minors. The hub owner is responsible for having the right to share any content added to their hub, including images and details of minors. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe content involving a minor has been shared without appropriate consent, contact us at [email protected].

11. International Visitors

HelloAbout is operated from the United States. By using our service, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States and other countries that may have different data protection laws than your own.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated through the site or by email where appropriate.

13. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, please reach out at [email protected].

This Privacy Policy is provided as a general template and is not legal advice. We recommend having it reviewed by a qualified attorney — particularly the handling of directory member contact information, content that may include minors, and any obligations that apply to your users' regions — to ensure it fits your business.
